Distinguished Service Award

Invitation for Nominations for the 2010 Award

The National Capital Gift Planning Council (NCGPC) invites you to nominate one or more individuals for the 15th Annual Distinguished Service Award.

Criteria for Selection

The Distinguished Service Award honors a planned giving, development or allied professional, or a volunteer leader in gift planning, with a distinguished record of service in gift planning. The award recipient will exemplify:

  • demonstrated quality leadership in gift planning;
  • longevity in gift planning (a minimum of 5 years);
  • specific achievements in promoting and securing planned gifts;
  • service to the gift planning profession, through participation in PPP and/or NCPGC; and,
  • adherence to the Model Standards of Practice for the Charitable Gift Planner.

Award Presentation

The 2010 Distinguished Service Award will be the fifteenth annual award presented by NCGPC. Past recipients include Gayle S. Union, Mary Todd Hardeman, Kathy Ward, Angie Sosdian, Arthur Keefe, Bob Brennan, Jeff Comfort, Doug White, Phil Melberg, Jerry Anderson, Jim Potter (deceased), Jerry McCoy, Ron Sapp, and Brendan Haggerty. The award will be given at the next annual Planned Giving Days Conference, May 13-14, 2010.
