Monthly Message from the President

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Shira E. Oler, President, NCGPCAt this time of year it’s not uncommon for fatigue to set in. We may be tired from the snow, the cold weather, the lack of sunshine, or a host of family and work issues that can drain us physically and emotionally.

Do I hear someone planning a vacation!? I may not have the luxury right now of having an extended personal vacation to get re-energized, but I do know that I look upon our monthly programs as a much needed source of support and encouragement. The time I spend at our meetings, never fails to lift my spirits. If you are coming regularly, you know what I mean.

Our March 10 meeting will be a special one, held jointly with AFPDC. Please note that we’ll meet from 10:45 am – 1:30 pm, but the location for this program has changed from our regular site. This program will be held at the Bank of America building, 730 15th Street, NW, 10th Floor -- Penthouse Verandah. (Metro, Blue Line, McPherson Square, White House exit). Guest speaker, Doug White, will address Ethical Dilemmas in the Nonprofit World: Being Prepared. For more details on this program, click here. Be sure to sign up today. Being with colleagues and hearing this topic (not to mention the spectacular view from the Penthouse) will be a great antidote to your “fatigue.”

Shira E. Oler
President NCGPC
